Wacky Pineapple Cake

This sweet cake is a great treat for dessert or breakfast. Looks cool too!


Cake Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 large can crushed pineapple {not drained}
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • Flour and oil for greasing pans

Icing Ingredients

  • 1 small can Pet milk
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 3/4 cup confectioners sugar
  • Few drops of vanilla
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple, drained


  1. Mix all cake ingredients together and pour into large greased and floured liner pan.
  2. Bake in Dutch Oven for 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
  3. To make icing, boil all ingredients except pineapple 3 minutes; let cool.
  4. When cake is baked and slightly cooled, punch holes in cake and pour icing over cake.
  5. Decorate top of cake with small can of crushed pineapple.


This recipe makes two round layers and enough icing for both.
